Returns, Errors, and World Premieres

Returns:

I’m sorry, but I can’t accept returns. You could easily make a copy of the music and then return it. That is as much theft as if you broke into my house and took it from my desk. If you give a copy of my music to a friend, that’s also theft. If you post a scan of my music on the internet, you’re allowing everyone in the world to steal it. Please don’t do that.

Even though I can’t accept returns, I do want you to be totally pleased with your purchase. I will gladly answer any questions you may have about any of my arrangements. If you’re working with players with more limited skills, I can give you the range of each horn and send you a larger score sample of the most difficult sections so you get a better idea of the skill needed for the piece. I can also make suggestions of pieces that might be appropriate.

Errors:

I thoroughly check all my arrangements for errors, but sometimes they slip through. If you think you’ve found an error, please let me know! If an error is serious enough to warrant a reprint, I will send you a corrected copy for free.

World Premiere Performances:

I try to learn the date, place, and players of all world premiere performances. If your copy has nothing on the cover about the world premiere, it might be because it hasn’t happened yet! If you publicly perform the piece, send me information and I’ll add it to the cover for all future printings. (See samples below.) I’ll even send you a new copy with the revised cover for free! (Click the images to see the entire covers.)

Credit for a world premiere can include your group's logo, a logo from an event, or both. Or it can simply list the players.
